It was an honour, enjoyable and very educational to illustrate Grammatica van de Fantasie (The Grammar of Fantasy) by Gianni Rodari.

This book is a collection of methods that can help kick start imagination. It’s interesting for everybody who loves storytelling or who works for or with children.

I choose to illustrate every chapter focussing on the technique explained not on the examples given. So the illustrations are not just there to make it more fun; they are explanatory, giving a quick overview of the chapter. So when revisiting the book the illustrations jog the memory and inspire one to experiment and play.
